A longtime Palm Beach County resident, Dr. Campbell was department chair and professor of the nursing program at Palm Beach Community College for many years, where she pioneered a telemedicine project and established the computerized testing lab as part of endowed teaching chair awards. She has expertise in the areas of curriculum development, creative teaching techniques and accreditation in nursing.Dr. Campbell has been honored with teaching excellence awards by the Florida Association of Community Colleges and the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development. Dr. Campbell has published chapters on person abuse and personality disorders within her specialty area of psychiatric-mental health nursing. During her six-year tenure on the Board of Directors of the Young Women's Christian Association of Palm Beach County, Dr. Campbell served as a member and chair of the Domestic Assault Shelter advisory committee. She has been active with the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and the Loxahatchee Historical Museum Guild. In addition, she has served as an advisor and mentor for the U.S. Congressional Award program.Dr. Campbell is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, the American Nurses Association, the National League for Nursing, the Mental Health Association of Palm Beach County and the Palm Healthcare Foundation Higher Education committee.Read more about Dr. Judy Campbell in the 2005-2006 President's Report.
