Dr. Holland joined the faculty of PBA in 2002, having previously served as Director of Choral Activities at the Dana School of Music of Youngstown State University in Ohio, at Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville and at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn. Dr. Holland taught secondary music in private and public schools in Illinois, New Jersey and New York. He also has held various positions as organist, choir director and baritone soloist in Illinois, Indiana, New Jersey, New York and Ohio. He has served as guest conductor/clinician in Minnesota, New Jersey, Ohio, Tennessee and Virginia.In 2003, he was chorus master for the Santa Domingo Music Festival in the Dominican Republic, preparing the chorus for the Beethoven Ninth Symphony under the baton of Maestro Phillipe Entremont. At PBA, Dr. Holland conducts the Oratorio Chorus, Concert Choir, PBA Singers and also teaches courses in conducting and choral music. He is married to Patricia, an adjunct instructor, organist and staff accompanist at PBA.
