Dr. Carlson performed his family practice residency training at the Fairfax Family Practice Program in Fairfax, VA. He joined OMNI Healthcare in Melbourne, FL to provide patient care as an attending physician in the family practice department, where he also developed Urgent Care services for OMNI.Because of his interest in performing pharmaceutical research, Dr. Carlson enrolled in the inaugural class of the newly-formed School of Pharmacy at PBA. After receiving his Pharm.D., he worked with the department of pharmacy at Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Palm Beach to develop inpatient disease state management protocols and execute pharmacoeconomic analyses of medications used in the hospital.Dr. Carlson returned to the Gregory School of Pharmacy as a faculty member to assist in the education of students in both the basic sciences and advanced training necessary to become excellent practicing pharmacists. He lives in Wellington with his wife, Melissa, an Ob/Gyn physician, and their two children.
