Before joining the nursing faculty at PBA, Dr. Christine Brooks worked as a family nurse practitioner in private practice. She also has experience working in adult critical care as a staff nurse. Her clinical experiences also include home health care and same day surgery. She has enjoyed precepting many students in critical care and in private practice at the associate and baccalaureate levels. Dr. Brooks holds membership in Sigma Theta Tau, the International Nursing Honor Society. She is also an active in her church and community. She volunteers at her church coordinating the curriculum and crafts for the early childhood department. She is happily married to Travis and they have three children. In 2012, Dr. Brooks received the Corts Award for Outstanding Teaching.
