Dr. Valinezhad joined the PBA faculty as a professor of Finance at Palm Beach Atlantic University. He received his Ph.D. in Economics with a focus on Finance from Georgia State University in 1988. He joined Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky in 1988, and became tenured professor of International Economics in 1994. He left Western Kentucky University in 1999 to establish his own company. Dr. Valinezhad was the president and the general partner of Carr Associates LP, a real estate development company in Nashville, Tennessee, for more than 3 years. He returned to academics in 2003 and became full Professor of Finance at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, where he taught graduate and undergraduate classes in various areas of finance. Dr. Valinezhad's areas of expertise include Corporate and International Finance. His other areas of interest are investment and portfolio analysis, financial planning and financial economics. His research interests focus on international mergers and acquisitions, exchange rate changes and their effects on various sectors of the economy. Dr. Valinezhad is also interested in the interdisciplinary aspects of finance and economics. At PBA, he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in corporate, international and managerial finance. He also teaches courses in investment and financial planning. Dr. Valinezhad’s publications include "Deviations from Purchasing Power Parity: A Variance Decomposition Test of Balassa, Cassel, and Dornbusch Hypotheses," in Journal of International Finance; "The Role of Ethics in Executive Compensation: Toward a Contractarian Interpretation of the Neoclassical Theory of Managerial Remuneration," in The Journal of Business Ethics; and "A Critique of Lanciaux's Analysis of Monetary Approach to Balance of Payments," in Journal of Economic Issues.
