As assistant dean for assessment, Dr. Fairclough oversees all assessment activities within the Gregory School of Pharmacy in accordance with the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) standards. She is responsible for coordinating the School’s strategic planning efforts and reporting assessment activities and demographic information to accrediting bodies. In her administrative role, Dr. Fairclough also oversees the ACPE-accredited continuing education (CE) program within the School. Her professorial duties involve teaching in social and administrative pharmacy courses that include pharmacoeconomics; public health, medication safety and disease prevention; and psychosocial, spiritual and behavioral aspects of health. Prior to joining the pharmacy faculty in July 2009, Dr. Fairclough served as an NIH/NIMH T32 postdoctoral fellow in the Behavioral Medicine Research Center at Duke University Medical Center. She maintains active membership in the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) and the American Public Health Association (APHA).
