Dr. Murray received a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from Florida Atlantic University. Her capstone project focused on bringing awareness to the community regarding the practiced-focused doctorate, DNP, to meet population demands accessing health care in an ever-increasing complexity environment in the 21st century. After completing her 4-year degree in nursing in 1989, Dr. Murray worked in various clinical settings as a registered nurse including leadership/management roles before returning to school to receive her master’s degree in nursing. She chose to specialize as a nurse practitioner board-certified in family practice by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Her experience includes diagnosing and treating patient populations of all ages, collaborating care with physicians and other health professionals within a family medicine residency program, and precepting student nurse practitioners. Other experience includes medical stabilization for subspecialty population in substance/detox/mental health setting. She considers teaching students at Palm Beach Atlantic University a privilege to impact the kingdom of God through an instructional environment that believes in the foundation of sound biblical principles openly communicating God, the lordship of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Dr. Murray and her husband, Marc, have been married since 1989 and have two children. They are actively involved as members of Trinity Church International in Lake Worth, Florida. She enjoys classical music, sailing with the Disney cruise line, playing tennis, baking and food-traveling.
