Dr. Katherine Wyma is on the faculty of the MacArthur School of Leadership as an assistant professor of English. She has had previous professional experience as the writer, editor, and social media marketer for a multi-million dollar ecommerce company, and brings her practical business communication experience to the classroom. Dr. Wyma's doctoral thesis was entitled The Penitential Psalms in Sixteenth-Century England: Bodies and Texts. She is particularly interested in women's writing, devotional literature and practices of the medieval and renaissance periods, and literary studies of the graphic novel. Dr. Wyma has presented at conferences hosted by the Sixteenth Century Studies Society, the Renaissance Society of America, and the Reformation Studies Colloquium. She has also been published in the journal Exemplaria and was invited to sit on a panel discussing poetry in the King James Bible at Stanza, Scotland's international poetry festival.
