Adriane McPheeters was born and raised in Brasilia, the capital city of Brasil. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education in Brasil and wanted to continue her studies in the United States. Adriane then moved to Miami to enroll in the Master of Exercise Science program at Barry University. After beginning an internship in a cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation unit as an exercise physiology student, she realized nursing was the career she really wanted. Adriane changed her path of study and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Barry University. Upon becoming a registered nurse, Adriane worked in many different nursing fields, including cardiac, medical surgical and outpatient surgery. It was during a position as a nurse educator teaching LPN students that she discovered nursing education was her passion. Within a few years she completed her Master of Science degree in nursing education at South University. Adriane holds a membership in Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society and The National League of Nursing. She resides in Boynton Beach with her wonderful husband, Travis.
