Dr. Yocum joins the faculty of the Gregory School of Pharmacy after completing both a pharmacy practice residency and Pharm. D. training there. Prior to pharmacy school, she earned her B.A. at the University of Miami, and taught high school literature before pursuing a different career path. Dr. Yocum is heavily involved with medical mission work and the local patient population from poorer socioeconomic backgrounds. She has been blessed to find a faculty position that allows her to hone her clinical skills as a pharmacist and budding researcher, as well as serve the students in a setting where her spiritual gifts may flourish. Dr. Yocum is an active member of the American Pharmacist Association (APhA), American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), Christian Pharmacy Fellowship International (CPFI), and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), where she is completing additional teaching certification through their Academy of Teaching and Learning. She was inducted as a student and remains active in both Rho Chi (Academic Honor Society) and Phi Lambda Sigma (National Pharmacy Leadership Society).
