Mrs. Gillan has over thirty years of experience in nursing practice in surgical intensive care, cardiovascular intensive care, and hospice, caring for patients, supervising and teaching nurses in practice, and assisting in the research, development, and marketing of medical monitors for use in critical care areas. Mrs. Gillan joined the faculty of Palm Beach Atlantic University in 2010 as an adjunct instructor, lecturing in Introduction to Professional Nursing and Technical Skills, in addition to providing clinical guidance for the Fundamentals and Medical-Surgical Nursing classes. Mrs. Gillan has been active in the Florida Nurses Association, serving as district Vvice president, and is a member of the National League for Nursing and Sigma Theta Tau, the honor society of nursing. She is currently enrolled at Barry University earning a Ph.D. in nursing.
