"The significance and joy in my science comes in the occasional moments of discovering something new and saying to myself, ‘So that’s how God did it!" -Henry Fritz Schaefer III
"C.S. Lewis: Science and Scientism" is the topic of the University’s 2013 President’s Distinguished Scholar Lecture.
The public is invited to this free lecture by Dr. Henry F. Schaefer III, the Graham Perdue Professor of Chemistry and Director of the Center for Computational Quantum Chemistry at the University of Georgia. Dr. Schaefer will examine the views of Lewis, asking whether scientism is alive and well in the 21st century and examining the question of how contemporary scientists evaluate scientism.
Dr. Schaefer will be speaking in chapel at 11 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday; and on Monday evening at 7:30, he will deliver a session for the public.
