The Palm Beach Chamber Music Festival opens its summer season in the Helen K. Persson Recital Hall in Vera Lea Rinker Hall on Friday, July 5 at 7 p.m. The festival’s co-founders are Karen Dixon, Michael Ellert and Michael Forte. All three have served as adjunct faculty members in the School of Music and Fine Arts.

Works on the first weekend concerts include Camille Saint-Saëns’ Fantaisie, Opus 124 for violin and harp; Eric Ewazen’s Sonata for Trumpet and Piano; and Johannes Brahms’ Serenade No. 1 in D Major, Opus 11, arr Alan Boustead for flute, 2 clarinets, bassoon, horn, violin, viola, cello and bass.
The Palm Beach Chamber Music Festival will run through July 28 with concerts each Friday at 7 p.m. at PBA's Helen K. Persson Recital Hall (July 5, 12, 19, 26), as well as Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons off campus.
