The Palm Beach Chamber Music Festival opens its summer season in the Helen K. Persson Recital Hall in Vera Lea Rinker Hall Thursday, July 3 at 7:30 p.m. The festival’s co-founders are Karen Dixon, Michael Ellert and Michael Forte. All three have served as adjunct faculty members in PBA's School of Music and Fine Arts for many years.
The 23rd annual Palm Beach Chamber Music Summer Festival begins July 3 and runs through July 27:
7:30 p.m.: Thursday, July 3; Friday, July 11, 18 and 25
Location: Palm Beach Atlantic University's Helen Persson Recital Hall in Vera Lea Rinker Hall, 326 Acacia Road, West Palm Beach
7:30 p.m.: Saturday, July 5, 12, 19 and 26
Location: PBSC's Eissey Campus Theatre, Palm Beach Gardens
2 p.m.: Sunday, July 6, 13, 20 and 27
Location: Delray Center for the Arts' Crest Theatre
Tickets are $25 per concert or $85 for a four-concert subscription; admission is free to students with I.D.

Works on the first weekend concerts include Malcolm Arnold’s Trio for Flute, Viola and Bassoon, Op. 6; Herbert Howells’ Rhapsodic Quintet for clarinet and string quartet, Op. 31; and Johann Hummel’s Septet No. 2 in C major 'Military', Op. 114 for flute, clarinet, trumpet, violin, cello, bass and piano.
