Palm Beach Atlantic University welcomes new students to campus during Welcome Weekend 2014. PBA is a private, Christ-centered college in West Palm Beach, Florida, USA.

Thursday, Jan. 9

9 a.m.-3 p.m.: Move into residence halls with help of Move In Crew 2014. (For moving assistance, call Caleb Hitchcock at (561) 371-8803.)

9 a.m.-5 p.m.: Check-in (Lassiter Student Center)
You may be required to visit one or more of the following stations:

• Residence Life – Housing Issues/Meal Plans
• Registration – Add or change schedule
• Financial Aid – Aid awards and documents
• Payment Plans – Monthly payment arrangements
• Health and Wellness – Health forms, immunizations, insurance waivers
• Cashier – Pay balance in full
• Student ID – Have your ID Card created
• Safety & Security – Parking decal (Safety & Security Office)
• ID validation and bookstore vouchers

Depending on what stations you may need to visit, you should plan on spending approximately two hours at check-in. When you register at check-in you will receive a sheet outlining which stations you are required to visit. Complete S.O.A.R. online for a faster check-in process.

6-7:30 p.m.: Welcome Weekend Opening Program (DeSantis Family Chapel)
8-10 p.m.: Trivia Night (Oceanview Hall Lobby)

Friday, Jan. 10

10 a.m.-noon: Student and Parent Information Sessions – Enlightening Minds (DeSantis Family Chapel)

• Chapel, Workship, Campus Ministries
• Safety and Security, Campus Connections
• Residential Life, Student Success

12:30-1:30 p.m.: Student panel lunch (Kaplan Forum)
12:30-1:30 p.m.: Parent Panel lunch (Rinker Classroom 1307)
1:30-2:30 p.m.: Campus tours (Meet outside Lassiter Student Center – Rinker Green)

1:30-2:30 p.m.: Concert of Prayer (DeSantis Family Chapel)

2:30-3:30 p.m.: Worship Celebration - Enriching Souls (DeSantis Family Chapel)

3:30-6 p.m.: Free time (Campus Locations)
Parents connect with other parents and say goodbye!

6-10 p.m.: Dinner and games at the homes of faculty

Saturday, Jan. 11

9 a.m.-2 p.m.: Workship project– Extending Hands (meet in front of Student Center)

2-4 p.m.: Women's Sailfish Basketball Game (free with student i.d.)                                                                 

4-6 p.m.: Men's Sailfish Basketball Game (free with student i.d.)
6-7 p.m.: Dinner (Campus Dining locations)
8:15-10:15 p.m.: Go Figure! --- New Fish meet Old Fish (Palm Beach Ice Works)

Sunday, Jan. 12

8 a.m.-noon: Go to church with your resident advisor (RA)
10 a.m.-1 p.m.: Sunday Brunch (Fraser Dining Hall)
1:30-3 p.m.: Extreme Beach volleyball (Sand Court – Intramural Field)

3-5 p.m.: Break (Time to settle in to your dorm)

5-7 p.m.: Dinner (Campus Dining Locations)
7 p.m.: N.O.W. (Night of Worship – Rinker Pit)

Monday, Jan. 13


Meals may be purchased at the door at the Fraser Dining Hall
Hours of operation are:
Thursday: 11 a.m.-7 p.m.; Friday: 7 a.m.-7 p.m.; Saturday: 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sunday: 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
