Palm Beach Atlantic University is open and following the published Welcome Week schedule today, as Hurricane Irene’s effects on the Florida Coast subside.

 Welcome Week activities continue. Workship community service projects Saturday are on schedule and classes are set to begin Monday.

Palm Beach Atlantic University is open and operating normally Thursday as officials monitor the path of Hurricane Irene. At this time, the campus is experiencing periods of rain as the hurricane moves off the Florida coast.

 

All scheduled Welcome Week activities are taking place as planned. Students who have questions about check-in can phone Sailfish Services at 561-803-2000 or toll-free at 888-468-6722.

 

University officials will continue to monitor the weather and will update this message immediately should conditions change that affect scheduled activities.

While today’s forecast is favorable, University officials will continue to monitor the progress of Hurricane Irene off Florida’s coast and will update this message immediately should conditions change that affect scheduled activities.
