University Honors Outstanding Fall Graduates at Chapel Event

Eight students have been chosen as the outstanding graduates of their schools and were recognized during Palm Beach Atlantic University’s fall 2013 Honors Day ceremony on Thursday.

The honorees were English major Kelsey Satalino of West Palm Beach, outstanding graduate in the School of Arts and Sciences; management major Stefano Bucciol of Caracas, Venezuela, outstanding graduate in the Rinker School of Business; cinema-television major Catherine Drensek of Huntsville, Ala., outstanding graduate in the School of Communication and Media; elementary education major Tehila-Grace Wilson of Chesapeake, Va., outstanding graduate in the School of Education and Behavioral Studies; organizational management major Melanie Kafka of Wellington, outstanding graduate in the MacArthur School of Leadership; English and biblical studies double-major Caitlyn Girardi of Syosset, N.Y., outstanding graduate in the School of Ministry; music composition major Joseph Lubben of West Palm Beach, outstanding graduate in the School of Music and Fine Arts; and organizational management major Linda Rose of Orlando, outstanding graduate for the Orlando campus.

To be eligible for an Outstanding Graduate Award, the student must have a minimum 3.5 GPA based on 60 credits or more earned at PBA.

In addition, two students were honored by their departments: Satalino received the English Department award from the School of Arts and Sciences, and Joel Wesselius received the International Business award from the Rinker School of Business.

They, along with other graduates, will receive their degrees in a 2 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach. Former U.S. Attorney General, U.S. Senator and Governor of Missouri John Ashcroft will be the featured speaker.
