Health & Wellness Center

Our Health and Wellness Center offers free and low-cost medical services to students, including first aid, physicals, women's healthcare and more.

Palm Beach Atlantic University offers both free and low-cost medical services through our Health and Wellness Center.  They include:

  • First aid (e.g., cold packs, bandages)
  • Evaluation and treatment of minor illnesses and injuries
  • Diagnostic testing (e.g., strep, mono, influenza, glucose, EKG)
  • Physicals
  • Women’s healthcare
  • Lab testing (i.e., blood work)
  • Blood pressure checks
  • Flu and meningitis vaccines
  • Prescription medications available on site
  • Medical equipment rentals (e.g., crutches, wheelchairs)
  • Health education and resources

The Health and Wellness Center is located in Oceanview Hall at 1000 S. Dixie Highway, next to our Campus Bookstore. However, our mailing address is:

Hours

Visits are by appointment only, except in cases of acute illness or injury. Please call ahead to schedule at (561) 803-2576. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Emergencies

For life-threatening emergencies on campus, please call 911 first and then contact Campus Safety and Security at (561) 803-2500.

Requirements

Prior to registration, all first-year, full-time students (undergraduate, international and pharmacy) must have a physical examination and submit a physical form, completed by a medical professional completed by a medical professional within the past 12 months. If you are enrolled in six credit hours or more, you also must submit an immunization form. All international students (or U.S. Citizens born outside of the U.S.) must submit a TB Risk Screening Form. All forms must be submitted to the Health and Wellness Center prior to August 1st (for new Spring students forms should be submitted prior to December 1). Insurance

All full-time day students (undergraduate, international, and pharmacy) are required to provide proof of health insurance at the start of each academic year.
