All application materials must be received by February 1.
Application process for First Year Pharmacy Students
Applicants to the School of Pharmacy must apply through PharmCAS, the Pharmacy College Application Service, associated with the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy. PharmCAS allows students to use a single application and one set of materials to apply to multiple pharmacy schools. To apply to the PBA School of Pharmacy through PharmCAS, go to http://www.PharmCAS.org.
PharmCAS is for first-year professional pharmacy degree applicants only.
As part of your PharmCAS application, you will be asked to provide a complete listing of all college courses you have taken, a short essay on why you want to become a pharmacist and your Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT) scores. PCAT scores must be submitted to PharmCAS directly and not to PBA. The PharmCAS PCAT code is 104.
The following checklist can be downloaded in PDF format.
1. Apply on-line using PharmCAS at http://www.PharmCAS.org.
2. Send an official transcript from each college or university you have attended with the required fee to PharmCAS.
3. Send official PCAT scores to PharmCAS.
4. Complete the PBA Supplemental Application and submit the required fee of $80 to:
Palm Beach Atlantic University
Evening and Graduate Admission
P.O. Box 24708
West Palm Beach, FL 33416
5. Submit three letters of recommendation. These should be from professors, academic advisors, employers or supervisors of volunteer activities (a letter from a pharmacist is recommended but not required.) Letters of recommendation may be submitted directly to the Palm Beach Atlantic University Graduate Admission Office or through PharmCAS. (Download the form in PDF format)
6. The Lloyd L. Gregory School of Pharmacy will consider applications when PharmCAS and PBA have received all credentials, fees and test scores.
7. The Admission Committee for the School of Pharmacy will determine faculty interviews once all credentials have been received. The School of Pharmacy at PBA is a competitive program, therefore faculty interviews will not be offered to all applicants. Enrollment of new students is limited to approximately 75 per year.
