Youngsters Stay Active at Sailfish Fitness Camps

The Palm Beach Atlantic University Sailfish Summer Sports and Fitness Camp for children ages 6 to 14 will be held during two four-week periods starting June 9.

The camp will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Greene Complex for Sports and Recreation, 1100 S. Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach.

The camp is aimed at providing children the opportunity to stay active during the summer months. However, the camp is not only about staying active. The counselor staff is made up of NCAA Division II athletes who are excited to share and teach their skills and talents in the sports they love.

Campers will learn new skills and techniques from some of the top college athletes in the country. In addition, campers will have the opportunity to meet new friends and learn how to work together through scavenger hunts, Olympic game competitions, sports leagues and talent shows.

Summer 1 takes place June 9-13, June 16-20, June 23-27 and June 30-July 3. Summer 2 takes place July 21-25, July 28-Aug. 1, Aug. 4-8 and Aug. 11-15. The fee is $150 for one week and $125 for additional weeks. Half summer is $500 and full summer is $1,000. For information, visit
