Financial Aid Application Guide

Learn about recent enhancements to the FAFSA filing process, financial aid eligibility requirements, the application procedures, and much more by reading the Financial Aid Application Guide. Recent enhancements to the FAFSA filing process will now allow you to electronically retrieve your tax information using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool.

Financial Aid Programs @ PBA

Palm Beach Atlantic University participates and offers in many financial aid programs. To learn more about specific opportunities, please read about our Grant, Scholarship, Federal Work Study, and Student Loan programs.

Parent Plus Direct Loan
To be eligible, your student must be enrolled in at least six credit hours at PBA. The loan must be requested each academic year. You will have a 10-year period to repay this fixed-rate loan. You also may defer payment until after your student graduates (or is no longer enrolled in at least six credit hours/term).

To apply, you must be:

• The biological or adoptive parent or stepparent to apply
• A U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen
• Have acceptable credit

Payment
Before classes begin, your student must have an approved loan, pay in full or have established a monthly payment plan with PBA. We accept personal and cashier’s checks as well as money orders. Your student may pay online using a credit card through myPBA. (PBA user name and password are required.)

A Monthly Payment Plan by TMS
You and your student have the option to make monthly payments through our partnership with Tuition Management Systems (TMS). Our tuition payment plan is a no-interest installment plan that allows you to spread payment of your remaining balance over several months. There is a non-refundable fee to set up your payment plan account. You must sign up before or during check-in as this option is not available after check-in has ended. TAX CREDIT
Under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), you and your student may qualify for the American Opportunity Tax Credit to help pay for college expenses.
