School of Nursing

Degree Track Chair
Type: Full Time Faculty
Date Available: August 2015
A Degree Track Chair is a Full Time Faculty member who has additional duties in overseeing a track or program within the School of Nursing.  The Degree Track Chair is responsible for ensuring that the program/track meets accrediting standards (if applicable), is consistent with current professional practice, and library resourses are adequate.  The Degree Track Chair collaborates with the appropriate Assiciate Dean to ensure admissions goals are met (if the program/track has separate admissions).  The Degree Track Chair will collaborate with the appropriate Associate Dean to ensure program/track specific courses are scheduled and staffed.  The Degree Track Chair will review and recommend changes to the catalog and other policies and procedures related to program/track.  The Degree Track Chair will teach a full load with either a stipend or course load reduction per University protocol.

Qualifications: The Degree Track Chair must hold a doctorate in nursing, health related field or education.  The Degree Track Chair of an advanced nursing practice program/track must have a Florida nurse practitioner license (ARNP), national certification in that program/track and CPR/BLS certification. 

 

Assistant/Associate Professor of Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice Program

Full Time Faculty position in the Doctor of Nursing Practice, Nurse practitioner program. Delivery method is hybrid/online. 

Qualifications: Current Florida ARNP license (or eligible) is required with a national certification in APN population - Adult/Geri, Pediatric, Women's Health or Psychiatric Mental Health. Doctoral degree is required; DNP or PhD in Nursing preferred. Minimum five years teaching experience, online teaching preferred. 

 


Rinker School of Business

Assistant/Associate Professor of Marketing
Type: Full-Time Faculty

Palm Beach Atlantic University's Rinker School of Business seeks an Assistant/Associate Professor of Marketing.

Qualifications: Assistant/Associate Professor is required to hold a Ph.D. or D.B.A. in a business related field with 18 graduate credit hours in marketing.  A person who has completed all but a dissertation for an earned doctorate will also be considered to be qualified.
Applicants must have a Christian commitment and the ability to integrate Christian faith with traditional coursework.

Assistant/Associate Professor of Accounting

Palm Beach Atlantic University's Rinker School of Business seeks an Assistant/Associate Professor of Accounting.

Qualifications: Assistant/Associate Professor is required to hold a Ph.D. or D.B.A. in a business related field with 18 graduate credit hours in accounting. Preference will be given to applicants with an accounting certification such as CPA, CMA, or CIA.  Work experience in accounting is desirable, but not required.

School of Ministry

Assistant Professor of Biblical and Theological Studies
Type: Full Time Faculty

Qualifications: Ph.D. or Th.D. in Theology or Church History is required.  Ability to teach systematic theology and historical theology is required.  Experience teaching graduate courses in historical theology is desired.  Experience in church ministry is strongly desired.  Must have a Christian commitment and the ability to integrate Christian faith with traditional coursework.

 


School of Arts & Sciences

Dean 
Type: Full Time Academic Administration

The Dean is responsible for providing leadership and administrative oversight for all programs of the school (http://www.pba.edu/school-of-arts-sciences). The Dean makes recommendations regarding the academic budget and personnel within the school and ensures that all aspects of the school operate within institutional policies. The Dean serves on the Council of Deans, the chief academic decision-making group within the university, and the Provost's Administrative Council, the chief policy and procedure coordinating group within the university. The Dean's teaching load is typically six load hours per academic year. 


Qualifications: Candidates are required to hold a doctorate in a discipline within the School of Arts & Sciences. Candidates must also have significant teaching experience and be able to demonstrate research contributions.

Gregory School of Pharmacy

Assistant/Associate Professor of Pharmaceutic Sciences

Palm Beach Atlantic University's Gregory School of Pharmacy seeks an Assistant/Associate Professor of Pharmaceutic Sciences.

Qualifications: This position requires a PhD in either phamaceutics, phamaceutical sciences, or a related biomedical science for this 12-month, non tenure-track faculty position. A background in pharmacy is optimal but not required. This candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills with evidence of teaching courses in pharmaceutics and/or pharmacokinetics to students in the Doctor of Pharmacy program. An appropriate research background should be evident with a desire to contribute to ongoing research efforts in the deparment. Candidate must demonstrate a Christian commitment and a willingness to integrate one's faith into teaching and mentorship. Faculty members are afforded a unique opportunity to teach in a supportive Christian environment that promotes spiritual growth as a means to personal and professional growth. 

 

Assistant/Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice, Internal Medicine
Type: Full-Time Faculty

Palm Beach Atlantic University's Gregory School of Pharmacy seeks an Assistant/Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice in Internal medicine. 

Qualifications: This position requires a PharmD degree, eligibility for licensure in the State of Florida, and completion of a pharmacy residency. The successful candidate will maintain a clinical practice in a local healthcare facility and precept 16-18 4th year students per year in a 4-week advanced practice experience rotation (2 students per rotation). This position involves a roughly 50-50 split between the clinical practice site and on-campus responsibilities. Didactic teaching expectations include coordinating the Hematology/Oncology pharmacotherapy course and participation in a team-taugh, multidisciplinary pharmacotherapy course sequence and case-studies, a problem-based learning course sequence. Candidate must demonstrate a Christian commitment and a willingness to integrate one's faith into teaching and mentorship. Dean of the Gregory School of Pharmacy Department: Pharmacy

Palm Beach Atlantic University invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean of the Lloyd L. Gregory School of Pharmacy. The desirable candidate will further strengthen the School’s reputation as the premier Christian school of pharmacy who trains servant leaders demonstrating excellence in character and grounded in Christian faith.  The Dean of the School of Pharmacy is the chief administrator for the School and will effectively represent the School to internal and external stakeholders as well as articulate and execute a clear vision for pharmacy education that is in line with healthcare trends in practice. The incoming dean must demonstrate strong leadership qualities in academic program development and assessment, budget development and supervision, fundraising and financial development, and strategic planning. It is the Dean’s responsibility to ensure that policies of the School are fully congruent with the mission and vision of both the University and the School. The candidate must also demonstrate a Christian commitment and a willingness to integrate faith into the learning process.

Qualifications: The Dean must have earned a terminal degree and have academic or professional expertise in either biomedical, pharmaceutical, social/behavioral or clinical sciences of pharmacy or its equivalent. The incoming dean should have a record of teaching, research/scholarship, and service worthy of being granted full professor rank and preferably have demonstrated experience both in pharmacy higher education and academic administration. Familiarity with the ACPE accreditation process is preferred.
