Gregory School of Pharmacy

Assistant/Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice
Type: Full-Time Faculty

Palm Beach Atlantic University's Gregory School of Pharmacy seeks a 12 month, full-time faculty member for a position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice with an emphasis in hematology/oncology.

The successful candidate will be responsible for didactic teaching; including, but not limited to, coordinating and teaching in the hematology/oncology/immunology portion of the pharmacotherapy series. The candidate will additionally develop and maintain a successful clinical experiential practice at a local healthcare facility; contribute to operational aspects of the School of Pharmacy; and participate in scholarly activity.

Qualifications: Minimum requirements include a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and an ASHP-accredited PGY-1 residency. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed an ASHP-accredited PGY-2 residency or fellowship in hematology/oncology pharmacy and to those with board certification. The candidate must be eligible for licensure in Florida. The candidate must demonstrate a Christian commitment and a willingness to integrate one's faith into teaching and mentorship. Faculty members are afforded a unique opportunity to teach in a supportive Christian environment that promotes spiritual growth as a means to personal and professional growth. 

 


School of Nursing

Assistant/Associate Professor of Nursing

Palm Beach Atlantic University's School of Nursing is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor of Nursing for the Fall of 2016/2017. 

Qualifications: Assistant/Associate Professor is required to hold a minimum of a Master's Degree in Nursing, Doctoral Degree in Nursing or Health related profession preferred. Must have RN lisence in the state of Florida, CPR, and 3 years teaching experience preferred in the area of Psych Mental Health or Medical Surgical Nursing. 

 

School of Communication and Media

Assistant/Associate Professor of Theatre

Palm Beach Atlantic University's School of Communication & Media is seeking a Professor of Theatre

Qualifications: This position requires a terminal degree in Theatre, Responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in theatre, especially in technical theatre, stagecraft and basic elements of design including scenic, sound, lighting, costume and properties. Position may teach other courses as necessary. Scenic and/or lighting design experience at the collegiate and/or professional level is essential. Must have a Christian commitment and the ability to integrate Christian faith with traditional coursework. 

Assistant/Associate Professor of Journalism

Palm Beach Atlantic University's School of Communication & Media is seeking a Professor of Journalism

Qualifications: Masters degree in Journalism or significant professional experience in broadcast, digital and/or print journalism. Responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in convergence journalism, espeically for broadcast and digital news platforms, and supervise the digital venues of the student-run newspaper. Must have a Christian commitment and the ability to integrate Christian faith with traditional coursework. 


Athletic Training 

Visiting Assistant/Associate Professor of Athletic Training 
Type: Full-Time Faculty
Date Available: Fall 2016

The Visiting Assistant/Associate Professor's primary responsibility involves teaching classes in the CAATE accredited undergraduate Athletic Training Program and advises students, conducts scholarly activity and serves on committees and faculty meetings. The Visiting Assistant/Associate Professor is actively involved in fulfilling the mission statement of the program. 

Qualifications: Assistant/Associate Professor position requires a Master's Degree, Doctorate preferred. Must have  active BOC certification and current eligible Florida License in Athletic Training. 

 

 

Library

E-Resources Reference Librarian
Type: Full-Time
Date Available: Immediately
Status: Open until filled

The position focuses on providing management and troubleshooting of the Library's licensed electronic resources, including e-books and databases. This position will also provide reference services, consultation on areas of research, and instructional services. Other responsibilities include participation in collection development and liasion to one or more academic areas. Evening and weekend rotation is required as part of the regular work schedule. 

 

Qualifications: A graduate degree in library science from an ALA - Accredited institution, previous experience in an academic library, and previous experience managing electronic resources in a library setting required.
