Off-Campus Dual Enrollment Program

The Dual Enrollment Program (DEP) is designed to offer high school juniors and seniors of our predetermined Partnership Christian Schools, the opportunity to earn college credit for Palm Beach Atlantic University courses.

At PBA, we believe dual enrollment is part of the future of higher education; and to better prepare our future students, DEP students will get exposure to many aspects of the collegiate learning environment. They will have access to the Warren Library, either on site or online. In addition, all DEP courses have a Learning Management System component, which gives students experience with online learning.

As part of Palm Beach Atlantic University’s Dual Enrollment Program, the DEP students:

  • Must attend a DEP Partnership Christian school
  • Must be a junior or senior
  • Must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average to enter and remain in the program
  • May enroll in no more than 24 credit hours

While the DEP courses are taught off-campus, the partnership school’s credentialed instructors must meet the course objectives and learning outcomes required for the course, have their students complete a common assessment assignment, and use the required college-level textbooks.  According to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) requirements, DEP instructors must have earned a master’s degree or higher, at 18 graduate credit hours in a specific discipline, and be approved by the PBA Dean and Faculty of the specific discipline.

PBA is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. Credits earned are transferrable to other post-secondary institutions. Questions about how individual’s courses will be applied in degree plans should be directed to receiving institutions.
