You love to create, whether that’s with a paintbrush, a pencil or a computer — and you want to help others develop their creative talents as well. The art department at Palm Beach Atlantic University will help you take your passion and develop it into a rewarding career.
As a student in PBA’s art department, you may choose from the following programs:
At PBA, you’ll:
PBA has eclectic studio art space and a state-of-the-art graphics lab. Our graphics lab, made possible by a generous grant in memory of Tauni de Lesseps, features top-of-the-line Apple computers and monitors, scanners, Canon camera equipment, HP printers and the most cutting-edge software available. The lab was recently expaded through a grant from the Alpha-Omega Charitable Foundation.
Studio Art students use electric and gas-fired kilns to produce a variety of creative pieces. Sculpture students present a biennial campus project, and stained glass classes produce a variety of award-winning work.

Your professors have decades of experience as artists. One of our faculty members has done graphic design work for Disney, Mitsubishi Motors and Pacific Mutual Insurance. Another was awarded first place in a five-state “Imaging the Gulf” competition.
The Tauni de Lesseps Art Gallery located in the Warren Library features regular shows by faculty and guest artists under the direction of curator James Craft. An annual student art show is featured at the conclusion of every fall semester and a Senior Art Show is on display at the end of every spring semester.
You may also get involved with the production of The Beacon, PBA’s excellent student newspaper; as well as The Living Waters Review, PBA’s literary annual. West Palm Beach is home to the internationally acclaimed Norton Museum of Art, Henry Morrison Flagler Museum and the Society of the Four Arts. Art majors enjoy free membership to the Norton Museum.
