The 24th Annual Palm Beach Atlantic University Alumni Association Golf Tournament held October 1 netted $57,000 for the Association’s Scholarship Fund.
More than 156 players participated in the event held at PGA National Resort’s Haig and Squire courses. The winning foursome, Ken Webb, Greg King, Tom Paton and Terry Taylor, of Minuteman Constructors team finished with the low gross score of 53.
For more than 20 years proceeds from the tournament have helped deserving PBA students pay for their college education. The Alumni Association recently awarded 28 annual scholarships, which are renewable by undergraduates who remain in good standing at the University.
Title tournament sponsors include Pepsi Beverages Company, National Management Resources Corporation, Tire Kingdom, The Weitz Company, Templeton & Company, P.A., Saxon Business Systems, Northwestern Mutual, Panera Bread, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Preferred Printing and Graphics.
The silver anniversary (25th) event is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012.
