Welcome, future freshman! There's so much to learn and enjoy during your first year at PBA. Challenging classes, exciting campus activities, new friendships and a great location all are here for you to experience. Like interesting classes? We have many classes that will challenge your mind. Like group activities? You'll find clubs and activities to help enrich your college experience with fellowship and fun! Like the beach? We're five minutes away from sand and surf.
Students may begin to apply for admission after their junior year in high school and must submit the following credentials:
- A completed application
- An autobiographical essay
- A non-refundable $35 application fee
- High School transcripts (average GPA: 3.6)
- Scores on the Scholastic Aptitude test (SAT average: 1090) or the American College Test (ACT average: 23)
- One character recommendation
High school course work should include at least 18 hours of preparatory courses (some flexibility is permitted in subject choices):
- English (4 units)
- Mathematics (3 units at a level of Algebra I or higher)
- Natural science (3 units with substantial lab work)
- Social science (3 units of history, government, economics, psychology, or sociology)
- Academic electives (5 units from above areas and from computer science, fine arts, foreign languages and humanities)
Students may be accepted for admission without the recommended number of courses in a particular field.
There are many factors taken into account when reviewing a student’s file for admission to PBA. Each file is reviewed on an individual basis based upon transcripts, test scores, recommendations, essay and personal interview.
