  • A statement on how you will integrate a Christian theistic worldview in your teaching/learning process

School of Arts and Sciences

 
Forensic Science

The School of Arts and Sciences of Palm Beach Atlantic University's Department of Chemistry/Physics is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach a lecture and laboratory course in Forensic Science in a B.S. degree program in Forensic Science.
Qualifications: M.S. or Ph.D. in Forensic Science, or a minimum of 18 graduate credits in Forensic Science with an M.S. in another science discipline. It is preferred that candidate have previous teaching experience in Forensic Science or working experience in the forensic science field.  It is important that the professor have experience using gas chromatography, HPLC, FT-IR, mass spectroscopic analysis, PCR and DNA sequencing. Applicants must have a Christian commitment and the ability to integrate Christian faith with traditional coursework. With the application letter, please provide evidence of quality teaching.
 

Humanities

The School of Arts and Sciences is seeking adjunct faculty to teach interdisciplinary courses in the Humanities core classes, including a study of art, history, literature, music, and philosophy in a Christian context.

Qualifications: Master’s Degree with at least eighteen credit hours at the graduate level in art, history/political science, English/literature, or philosophy. Humanities sequence classes available: HUM 1013, HUM 1023, and HUM 1033. Applicants must have a Christian commitment and the ability to integrate Christian faith with traditional coursework. Speech Communication

Christian Social Ministry

The School of Ministry is seeking adjunct faculty to teach courses in the B.A. in Ministry (Concentration: Christian Social Ministry) program.  Courses include the following: Introduction to Christian Social Ministry, Social Policy, Strategies and Theories, Self-Awareness & Behavior Changes, as well as other courses.
Qualifications: M.S.W. is required. Additional studies and/or experience in ministry is desired. Candidates should be credentialed to teach courses within the disciplines of social work or sociology or social ministry. Applicants must have a Christian commitment and the ability to integrate Christian faith with traditional coursework.

Nursing

Required: Masters Degree in Nursing, Florida Registered Nurse, BLS/CPR, 2-3 years of full-time teaching in nursing.Recommended: Post Masters graduate work leading to doctoral degree in nursing or related area.

Responsibilities: Teaching BSN nursing students in both class and clinical environments in the areas of medical-surgical, psychiatric, or maternal/child nursing.

Must have a Christian commitment and the ability to integrate Christian faith with traditional coursework.
