School of Arts and Sciences

Humanities
Type: Part Time

The School of Arts and Sciences is seeking adjunct faculty to teach interdisciplinary courses in the Humanities core classes, including a study of art, history, literature, music, and philosophy in a Christian context.
 
Qualifications: Master’s Degree with at least eighteen credit hours at the graduate level in art, history/political science, English/literature, or philosophy. Humanities sequence classes available: HUM 1013, HUM 1023, and HUM 1033. Applicants must have a Christian commitment and the ability to integrate Christian faith with traditional coursework. French Language and Literature

The School of Arts and Sciences is seeking to employ an adjunct faculty member to teach one or more of the following courses: Elementary French I, and Intermediate French I.
 
Qualifications: Master's degree (or higher) in French is required, with experience in teaching French to non-native speakers as well as speakers of the language. Applicants must have a Christian commitment and the ability to integrate Christian faith with traditional coursework. English Composition

The School of Arts and Sciences is seeking adjunct faculty to teach expository and research writing to first-year students in a Christian context in one or more of the following courses:
 
  • Pre-Composition (ENG 0093) focuses on basic skills of composition.
  • Composition I (ENG 1113) is an introduction to academic expository prose, including the application of rhetorical patterns, a review of grammar, and an introduction to documentation.
  • Composition II (ENG 1123) concentrates on the writing of an extended academic argument with research and documentation.
Qualifications: Master's Degree (or higher) with at least eighteen credit hours at the graduate level in English. For the Pre-Composition course, experience in basic composition and ESOL is an advantage. Applicants must have a Christian commitment and the ability to integrate Christian faith with traditional coursework. Speech Communication

Qualifications: Masters degree with a minimum of eighteen credit hours at the graduate level experience, including a thorough familiarity with professional video cameras, lights, microphones, and AVID editing applications. Applicants must have a Christian commitment and a the ability to integrate Christian faith with traditional coursework.
 

Journalism

The school of communication and Media is seeking adjunct faculty to teach courses in Journalism, including digital photography, photojournalism, investigative reporting, and online/web reporting.
 
Qualifications: Masters degree with a minimum of eighteen credit hours at a graduate level in journalism, photography, digital media production, or closely related field and significant professional media experience including a thorough familiarity with professional DSLR cameras, lights and Adobe Photoshop. Applicants must have a Christian commitment and the ability to integrate Christian faith with traditional coursework.
 

Theatre

Teaching assignment(s) may include any of the curriculum approved courses within the discipline, including the areas of kinesiology, applied physiology, health and fitness, coaching and physical education. 
 
Qualifications: M.S., Ph.D. or Ed.D. is required; must also have a strong background in exercise science. Applicants must have a Christian commitment and the ability to integrate Christian faith with traditional coursework.

Nursing

Required: Masters Degree in Nursing, Florida Registered Nurse, BLS/CPR, 2-3 years of full-time teaching in nursing. Post Masters graduate work leading to doctoral degree in nursing or related area highly recommended. 
 
Responsibilities: Teaching BSN nursing students in both class and clinical environments in the areas of medical-surgical, psychiatric, or maternal/child nursing. Must have a Christian commitment and the ability to integrate Christian faith with traditional coursework.
 
Nursing

Required: Masters Degree in Nursing, Florida ARNP License, BLS/CPR, 2-3 years of full-time teaching in nursing. Post Masters graduate work leading to doctoral degree in nursing or related area highly recommended.

Gregory School of Pharmacy

Adjunct Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice

Required: This position requires a PharmD degree, eligibility for licensure in the State of Florida, and completion of a pharmacy residency (PGY-1 [preferred but not required]). The successful candidate will facilitate a section of Case Studies in Pharmacotherapy, a problem-based learning course. The course meets weekly on Wednesday afternoons. Adjunct clinical pharmacists are also needed to lecture on individual disease management topics in the integrated pharmacotherapy sequence that is team taught. 
 
Candidates must support the Christian mission of the school. Candidate must demonstrate a Christian commitment and willingness to integrate one’s faith into teaching and mentorship. Faculty members are afforded a unique opportunity to teach in a supportive Christian environment that promotes spiritual growth as a means to personal and professional growth.

School of Ministry/Orlando Campus

The School of Ministry at the Orlando Campus is seeking adjunct faculty to teach courses related to biblical and theological studies in the ministry program.  

Qualifications:  A minimum of a regionally accredited Master's Degree in theology-related field (Ph.D. preferred). This must be combined with at least five years of ministry and teaching experience.  Applicants must have a clear Christian commitment, a dedication to relevant evangelical ministry, a commitment to rigorous scholarship, and possess the ability to integrate Christian faith with traditional coursework.
 

 


School of Education and Behavioral Studies

Adjunct in Psychology (Undergraduate)
Type: Adjunct, Part Time

Required: The School of Education and Behavioral Studies is seeking adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate courses in the core areas of the psychology major. Classes may include General Psychology, Marriage and Family Dynamics, or Lifespan Development, with occasional opportunities to teach such upper-level electives as Health Psychology and Forensic Psychology.
