  • The Adjunct Applicant Questionnaire (Please see related documents)
  • Your Resume or Curriculum vitae
  • All unofficial copies of all transcripts
  • A statement of your teaching philosophy
  • A statement on how you will integrate a Christian theistic worldview in your teaching/learning process

Only complete applications containing all five documents will be forwarded to the appropriate search committee for review.

Humanities

The School of Arts and Sciences is seeking adjunct faculty to teach interdisciplinary courses in the Humanities core classes, including a study of art, history, literature, music, and philosophy in a Christian context.

Qualifications: Master’s Degree with at least eighteen credit hours at the graduate level in art, history/political science, English/literature, or philosophy. Humanities sequence classes available: HUM 1013, HUM 1023, and HUM 1033. Applicants must have a Christian commitment and the ability to integrate Christian faith with traditional coursework. With the application letter, please provide evidence of quality teaching.
 


School of Communication and Media

 

Speech Communication

The School of Communication and Media is seeking adjunct faculty to teach Public Speaking (COM 1113), a freshman level course in the general education core.

Qualifications: Ph.D. or Master's Degree with at least eighteen credit hours at the graduate level in Speech Communication or closely related area.

 


School of Ministry

 

Christian Social Ministry

The School of Ministry is seeking adjunct faculty to teach courses in the B.A. in Ministry (Concentration: Christian Social Ministry) program.  Courses include the following: Introduction to Christian Social Ministry, Social Policy, Strategies and Theories, Self-Awareness & Behavior Changes, as well as other courses.
Qualifications: M.S.W. is required. Additional studies and/or experience in ministry is desired. Candidates should be credentialed to teach courses within the disciplines of social work or sociology or social ministry. Applicants must have a Christian commitment and the ability to integrate Christian faith with traditional coursework.

Nursing

Required: Masters Degree in Nursing, Florida Registered Nurse, BLS/CPR, 2-3 years of full-time teaching in nursing.Recommended: Post Masters graduate work leading to doctoral degree in nursing or related area.

Responsibilities: Teaching BSN nursing students in both class and clinical environments in the areas of medical-surgical, psychiatric, or maternal/child nursing.

Must have a Christian commitment and the ability to integrate Christian faith with traditional coursework.
