Young Alum Award Recipient Helps Senator Serve Constituents

Gregory Langowski, a Palm Beach Atlantic University graduate who is now Southeast regional director for the office of U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, will receive the Young Alumnus Award during the University's Homecoming weekend. PBA is a private, Christ-centered college in West Palm Beach, Fla., USA.Gregory Langowski, who majored in political science and minored in business administration at Palm Beach Atlantic University, began putting his studies into practice long before he graduated in 2001.

Not only was he president of the University’s Young Republicans Club, but he also was active in student government, was selected to be a Presidential Ambassador and was involved in organizing student activities through Campus Programming.

Today Langowski, who went on to earn a master’s degree in organizational leadership from PBA in 2008, is the Southeast regional director for the office of U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio. The Jupiter resident’s duties include overseeing all district office operations, representing the senator in the district and traveling within the district to keep abreast of local concerns. He has worked for Sen. Rubio’s office since 2011.

On Nov. 16, Langowski will receive the Young Alumnus Award during PBA’s Homecoming weekend. The Young Alumnus Award recognizes alumni who have made significant contributions to their community and workplace and have also brought honor and distinction to Palm Beach Atlantic.

Since 2005, he has served as executive director of the Republican Party of Palm Beach County, a role in which he is involved in candidate campaigns and strategies, raising money and media relations.

He previously worked for several years at Jupiter Medical Center as a unit liaison and later as a physician referral coordinator.
Among the professional boards on which he has served are the Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County, Prevention Partnerships for Children, The Children’s Movement of Florida and the Century Commission for a Sustainable Florida.

The formal award presentation will take place at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, at Palm Beach Atlantic University’s Distinguished Alumni Awards Dinner in the Weyenberg Center in the Lassiter Student Center.
