Young Alum Award Recipient's Service Goes Beyond Workplace

John Templeton, a 2002 graduate of Palm Beach Atlantic University, will receive the Young Alumnus Award during Homecoming 2012. The Young Alumnus Award recognizes alumni who have made significant contributions to their community and workplace and have also brought honor and distinction to Palm Beach Atlantic.

Templeton is an experienced provider of accounting, auditing and advisory services for private enterprises in a variety of industries including real estate, nonprofit, educational institutions, healthcare, manufacturing and distribution. He is a hands-on professional who approaches each client and audit engagement with focus and efficiency. He also serves as a mentor to Templeton & Company’s younger staff members.

He is a member of the Affordable Housing Association of Certified Public Accountants, a board member of the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches and a board member and treasurer of the Community Land Trust of Palm Beach County.

“It is an honor to receive the Young Alumnus Award from Palm Beach Atlantic University. I enjoyed my time as a student at PBA. I strive to represent Palm Beach Atlantic University well in the workplace and throughout the community,” Templeton said.

Templeton majored in history and education at PBA and went on to pursue graduate studies at Florida Atlantic University.

The formal award presentation will take place at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17, at Palm Beach Atlantic University’s Distinguished Alumni Awards Dinner in the Weyenberg Center in the Lassiter Student Center. The event is one of the highlights of Homecoming weekend. For information, visit
