Lauren Parker

A senior in PBA’s School of Nursing, Lauren Parker has put in more than 700 clinical hours of patient care and more than 2,000 hours of volunteer service in the community. She is an active member of the nursing faculty committee as a senior class representative, and she has spearheaded numerous class events, such as class socials and a departmental end-of-the-year luncheon.

She also has served on the mission field, most recently in Cochabamba, Bolivia, where she provided care to orphans. Her junior year, she traveled with a PBA mission team during spring break to treat the underserved along the Amazon River. Her travels have taken her as far away as South Africa.

Before attending PBA, Parker spent two years at Western Michigan University. During that time she completed an internship at the Target House at St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. In her hometown, she was active in Summer in the City, a volunteer program in Detroit, as well as several Focus Hope outreach programs.

During her freshman year, she worked to promote PBA by conducting tours for prospective students for the Admissions department.

In addition to her work in the classroom and on the cross-country team, Warren has been a group leader for ROOTS, through which she ministered to freshman and sophomore women. She also has served on mission trips to Nicaragua and Mexico, and she works as an intern in the young adults ministry at the Palm Beach Gardens campus of Christ Fellowship.
