Palm Beach Atlantic University women's soccer team recently was honored by the Independent Collegiate Athletic Association with seven All ICAA selections and PBA Coach James Kryger named Coach of the Year.
Kryger was chosen after leading his team to a 14-5-2 record and a national runner-up finish at the NCCAA National Tournament.
Senior Angie Kuhn was named the ICAA Offensive Player of the Year while freshman goalkeeper Allison Fox took home two honors of Co-Defensive Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year.
Also making the All-ICAA list were sophomore Ashley Shoaf (South Norfolf, Va.), freshman Andrea Jefferson (West Palm Beach, Fla.), sophomore Courtney Calhoun (South Rockledge, Fla), junior Katie Runyon (Quincy, Ill.) and senior Alex Regin (Brandon, Fla.). Fox is from Naperville, Ill.
Sophomores Juliet Waller and Jennie Weil were selected as All-ICAA Honorable Mention.
Kuhn closed out an outstanding four-year playing career in 2010 by registering a school-record of 27 goals while adding in nine assists for 63 total points in 20 matches. The North Fort Myers, Fla. native produced four game winning goals on the season.
The ICAA is composed of Chowan University, North Greenville University, Oakland City University, PBA, Urbana University, and Washington Adventist University, all NCAA Division II Independent institutions competing in women's soccer
