Five recent graduates of Palm Beach Atlantic University’s School of Nursing received the 2014 Aneice Lassiter Excellence in Nursing Awards.

The recipients are:

Briana Andrassy of Turnersville, N.J., Lassiter Student Advocacy.

Deisy Blanford of Lake Worth, Lassiter Clinical Excellence.

Shannon Donahue of DeFuniak Springs, Lassiter Community Service.

Alexandra Geesey of Palm Beach, Lassiter Servant Leadership.

Amanda Rapp of Easton, Pa., Lassiter Academic Excellence.

The endowed awards are named in honor of Aneice Lassiter, wife of the late William G. Lassiter Jr., a longtime former trustee and supporter of the University.

The Lassiters also created the William G. and Aneice Lassiter Endowment for the School of Nursing, and the rotunda in the Warren Library is named for them.

The first Lassiter Excellence in Nursing Awards were presented in 2008. Award recipients each receive $1,000.
