Both faculty members and students were active in the ACCP academies. Dr. Chahine graduated from the Leadership and Management Academy and Jim Bruce was the only student enrolled in the academy. In addition, Dr. Poulakos completed the first module and two elective courses in the Teaching and Learning Academy.

Dr. Chahine chaired the 2014 ACCP Credentials: Membership Committee meeting and was recognized as Item-Author for the 2013 ACCP Clinical Pharmacy Challenge Competition. He also was invited to serve on a panel of judges to review “From Theory to Bedside: Clinical Reasoning Series” recertification posttest and set standards for the purpose of Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist recertification.

Meanwhile, the PBA Student College of Clinical Pharmacy was among the first 13 student chapters to be formally recognized by ACCP. The chapter’s officers are Simone Edgerton, president; Umima Baig, president-elect; Andreina Ottman, secretary; Dimple Patel, treasurer; and Dr. Chahine, college of pharmacy faculty liaison and chapter advisor.
