Lee Ann DeHass Miller, a 1990 graduate of Palm Beach Atlantic University, will receive the Distinguished Alumna Award during PBA’s Homecoming celebration in November. She now co-owns a bed and breakfast, serves as a brand ambassador and field editor for Taste of Home magazine and is a television personality in Ohio and West Virginia.
Miller, who lives in Walnut Creek, Ohio, owns and operates a 10-room B&B with her husband, Daryl, and their two sons, Teddy and Joey. Celebrating 19 years at The Miller Haus, they have fully relished life in the rolling, scenic hills of Ohio’s Amish Country.
Miller appears as a regular cooking guest on FOX affiliates in Columbus and Cleveland. She also hosts a weekly segment on “Good Morning West Virginia” every Monday. The segment airs on the ABC noon news on Mondays in Charleston, W.Va., as well.
She is a brand ambassador and field editor for the world’s No. 1 cooking and entertaining magazine, Taste of Home. Miller also volunteers for her church and in her community. Creating the “Win a Car for Christmas” campaign is one of her most treasured experiences, she says. This year marks the fifth in which a car will be given to a local resident in desperate need of transportation.
Of all her activities and freelance jobs, wife and mother are her most treasured, Miller says.
Miller graduated from PBA with a bachelor’s degree in business. She will be recognized during a Homecoming dinner and alumni awards presentation at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, in the Weyenberg Center in the Lassiter Student Center. The event is one of the highlights of Homecoming weekend. For information, visit www.pba.edu/homecoming.
