Steve Eshelman, of Jupiter, Florida, has joined the University as director of alumni relations. Eshelman is a 1999 alumnus of Palm Beach Atlantic. He earned a bachelor’s degree in communication with a minor in Christian social ministries.
In his role as director of alumni relations, Eshelman is responsible for enlisting volunteers for the Alumni Board of Directors, developing a development plan for the alumni scholarship fund, coordinating alumni events, and maintaining a communication plan to keep alumni regularly informed on University activities.
For the past 10 years, Eshelman has worked with the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) in Florida. In his most recent position with BSA, Eshelman served as senior development director of the Gulf Stream Council, which is comprised of Palm Beach, Martin, St Lucie, Indian River, Glades, Okeechobee and Hendry counties in southeast Florida. Previously, he was employed as the director of Learning for Life, a youth program used by schools and educational organizations to promote character education, life skills and building self-esteem.
Prior to joining the Boy Scouts of America, Eshelman was VP Loan officer with Seacoast National Bank. His other banking experience was with Commerce Bank and Wachovia Bank.
Eshelman is married to his wife Rachel, a 2001 PBA alumna, and has two young daughters. They attend Family Church Gardens where Eshelman serves on the worship team.
